INTRODUCTION The reason of which something is done or created or for which something exists. The general purpose of our being in existence is to become the spiritual children of God. (Rom. 8:16-17) We are approaching 2020 few days from today, as earlier discussed, our purpose is to be spiritual children of God, outside that what is our Personal Development Plans (PDP) for 2020? Our personal development plans must be detailed, well structured, articulated and written down that will demand our loyalty and commitment.  Building spiritual capabilities This has to do with our spiritual life and growth, Christ promised us the comforter who will teach us everything outside what He (Christ) thoughts. We should be more prayerful and ask for God direction on the way to fulfill God’s purpose on earth. You might be a problem to solver, a bridge builder between gaps, an encourager, a hand lifter, a destiny helper, a giver, a receiver, a prayer conquerer, a recommender, a corrector, committed, a loyal, a truth teller, a reliable, a confidant, you can only know these attributes when you are spiritually incline.  Skill acquisition So many of us refused to leave our comfort zone to learn additional skill to enhance our ability to succeed in life, so when opportunities come our way it will be difficult to grab it, reason being that the skill is not there, my brothers and sisters don’t wait for that certificate of yours to feed you, before feeding yourself, solve people’s problem, capitalized on peoples’ needs and make money. Improve yourself. There are some many opportunities around us, just that we fail to see them and take the chance. Below are some areas we need to look into for the 2020 PDP • Lack of early preparation • Having a closed mind • Not being ready to face challenges • Limiting oneself by surrounding circumstances (Having poor parents and thinking you cannot outgrow poverty in the family) but God want us to prosper in everything (3 John 2-3) • Unwillingness to step out of your comfort zone • Not prepared to embrace opportunities “Passing Over Opportunity Repeatedly” (POOR) • Making excuses CONCLUSION: Ephesian: 2:10 After looking at the above points on our 2020 PDP, we will need to make personal sacrifice especially the youths by ways of putting behind us all opportunities that might passed us and step out for progress in 2020 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
