Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

INTRODUCTION

Many a times, man in his pride and arrogance tends to forget who he is, and who we are, and where we are coming from.

– ARE YOU SUCH A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER?

– WHY ARE YOU SO PROUD AND ARROGANT?

Sometimes I encourage us to glance back and look at where you are coming from and who you are.

BACK TO MEMORY LANE

A brief historical re-view of how a loving, kind, Holy and righteous Father, in Genesis 1:26, said,

“Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth’’ and in Gen. 2:7, it was so, Man was made perfect and Sinless.

THE FALL OF MAN

Brethren, the fall of man in Gen. 3:1–6, was not by accident , but a calculated plan by man to undermined or disobey the commandments of God, so that he will be like God, and not die and Sinned. In Gen. 3:23–24, the Lord God sent man away from the Garden of Eden, and man became miserable, hopeless and was separated from God.

SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST

In Rom 5:8, it pleases God to Reconciled man to Himself, through the death of His Son on the Cross.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

In John 3:16-17, Brother John, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit declared. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved”.

Beloved, from the day you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, you are bought with a price. (1Cor. 6:20) Therefore, in 1 Peter 2:9-10, Peter declared.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy”.

MAN SAVED BY GRACE

“AFTER BEEN SAVED BY GOD’S GRACE”

WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST

ROMANS 8:31 – 39

THE SEVEREST OF CIRCUMSTANCES CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

IS IT – TRIBULATION: To undergo struggle, trials, temptation, suffering or is it affliction?

IS IT – DISTRESS: To suffer anguish, trouble, strain, agony, not knowing which way to go or what to do?

IS IT – PERSECUTION: To be abused, mocked, ridiculed, shamed, mistreated by fellow Brethren, ignored, neglected, harassed, attacked, or injured.

IS IT – FAMINE – To have no food, or to be starved.

IS IT – NAKEDNESS – To be stripped of cloths and earthly comforts.

IS IT – PERIL – To be exposed to risk, to be confronted with danger.

IS IT – SWORD – To be killed, to suffer martyrdom.

WORDS OF CONSOLATION

1 Corinthians 10:13 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. NKJV

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ NKJV

CONCLUSION

Brethren, regardless of whatsoever we are passing through in our Christian race, let nothing separate us from the love of GOD.

CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM FOR HE CARETH FOR YOU 1 PETER 5:7

MAY GOD BLESS HIS WORD IN JESUS NAME AMEN
