INTRODUCTION

There is an old story of a man who visited a master weaver.

On one side of the loom, the design was breathtaking—rich colors, perfect symmetry, absolute beauty.

But on the underside, it was chaos: loose ends, knots, tangled threads, rough patches, and seeming mistakes.

Disturbed, the man asked, “Why is the underside so ugly?”

The weaver smiled and replied, “Because you are standing where the cloth was never meant to be viewed from.

Beauty is never judged from beneath the loom.”

A CALL TO BE HOPEFUL

The message of this new year is simple but profound:

The Grand Weaver has not dropped the thread.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 — “He has made everything beautiful in His time…”

Isaiah 55:8–9 — “My thoughts are not your thoughts…”

God does not work by our calendars, but by His counsel.

THE GRAND WEAVER SEES THE END FROM THE BEGINNING

Divine Perspective

A weaver never panics at knots; because he knows where the pattern is going.

Isaiah 46:10 — “Declaring the end from the beginning…”

What looks like delay is often design.

What feels like denial may be alignment.

Joseph saw a pit

God Saw: Preservation

Joseph saw a prison

God Saw: Preparation

Joseph saw false accusations

God Saw: Promotion

Oswald Chambers: “Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want, but the confidence that God will do what is right.”

This year, let hope be sustained not by what you see—but by Who sees you.

THE GRAND WEAVER USES ROUGH THREADS TO CREATE STRONG FABRIC

Redemptive Purpose

Smooth threads alone cannot make durable cloth.

God often uses:

  • pain to deepen character
  • waiting to mature faith
  • silence to teach trust

The Grand Weaver does not waste tears.

Every rough thread has a place in the pattern.

Romans 8:28 — “All things work together for good…”

THE GRAND WEAVER WORKS IN HIS TIME, NOT OUR TIMETABLE

Sovereign Timing

We measure time by urgency. God measures time by readiness.

This year, do not abandon faith because God is not in a hurry

Habakkuk 2:3 — “Though it tarry, wait for it…”

  • Abraham waited 25 years after the promise
  • Hannah prayed for years
  • Lazarus lay four days dead
  • Yet God arrived on time, not late.

This year, do not abandon faith because God is not in a hurry

CONCLUSION

There is something every weaver knows: The cloth is never finished in the middle.

No weaver stops halfway and says, “This is enough.”

Because halfway, the design still looks confusing, the colors clash, and the loose ends seem unresolved.

Beloved, many people judge God’s work in their lives too early.

You are not broken! You are in process.

Philippians 1:6 — “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…”
