Events and report has shown that many people because of fear of the unknown, they developed their human spirit through strange practices in order to gain access to the spirit realm for protection, power, riches and health from demonic forces.
It is not common sense to know that everything in the spirit realm dominates the physical realm. This is the reason it is necessary for us to develop our human spirits to the point where we are more spiritually minded than being physically minded.
Satan attempts to keep Christians defeated by holding our thoughts in the physical realm. He sends circumstances and situations into our lives to destroy our faith. He understands well that; faith is a spiritual substance and that it’s required in order to get things from the spirit world to the physical world. Without faith, the finances, healing, strength for the race of life and other things we are requesting from God will never manifest in the physical world. Mark 11:22-24 – 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Satan constantly attacks us with “sense-knowledge”. Knowledge obtained from our five senses. This war against the higher spiritual knowledge of faith or “revelation-knowledge… This is the bible knowledge where we receive absolute truth about the existence and operation of spiritual and physical affairs (Ephesians 6:12 – 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places). Matthew 14:19-31.
Now what can give Christians the audacity to quench the fiery darts of life and still remain in charge in any unfavourable situation? It is simply the level of confidence you have built and developed through the Holy Spirit in GOD. Romans 8:31 when you carry this consciousness with you every day, you will approach life the way God wants you to. Let’s see the book of 2 Kings 6:15-17 – 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Now the Israelites, like any of us may likely react, were consumed by fear and their peace of mind was shattered. Several thoughts rush through their minds that made them ti think otherwise, even forgot the awesome power of God because their sense-knowledge was in control due to what they saw. Exodus 14.
Let’s consider King Jehoshaphat in the book of 2 Chronicles 20:1-6, 15-17; 21-24.
It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites,[a] came to battle against Jehoshaphat. 2 Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from [b]Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). 3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set [c]himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4 So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord. 5 Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, 6 and said: “O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? – 2 Chronicles 20:1-6.
15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the [d]brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. 17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” – 2 Chronicles 20:15 – 17.
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.”22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. 23 For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they [e]had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. 24 So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. 2 Chronicles 20:21 – 24
Conclusion
Most of us are yet to get the slightest clue of the spiritual interference of external forces in the journey of life, so we can’t even appropriate the privileges and power invested on us by GOD Almighty. We are comfortable in the zone of spiritual mediocrity. We must engage our spirit with the word for us to be atone as we attach spiritual relevance to what we see around us as we journey through life. 1 Samuel 2:9c
